A unique technology in a global market 150 150 WaveTech
Dag A. Valand – CEO & Founder

Our vision is to optimize energy use by extending and revitalizing batteries and battery technology, as well as storing energy in a novel and revolutionary way.

WaveTech’s technology enhances, monitors and automates battery-powered backup systems. It provides our clients with more cost-effective, predictable and secure solutions.

Technology is an important contribution to creating a more sustainable world. We are proud to be able to meet several of the UN’s sustainability goals. Our products and services contribute both directly and indirectly to decreasing CO2 emissions, a reduction in the need to replace batteries as well as a lower impact on the environment resulting from diminished demand for transport—to name just a few.

No matter where in the world we go, our knowledge is unique. This has been confirmed through our partnerships with a range of global leaders in systems requiring secure, uninterrupted energy. So far, no one else has been able to achieve what we have done in rejuvenating batteries, for example, no matter whether they are lithium batteries or other types.

We are both proud of and humbled by the position we find ourselves in.

We would never be where we are today without the expertise we have built up over the years—knowledge that ranges from advanced physics and materials science to product development, production, software development, communication and marketing.

We are privileged to have some of the industry’s most capable professionals working with us, colleagues with a broad range of skills and experience. Combined, the staff at WaveTech speak 15 different first languages. That is something we are proud of.

None of what we have achieved would have been possible without the physicist Ove Aanensen, with whom I founded the company in 2003.

It all started with a hypothesis about the lifespan and utilization of batteries going far beyond what practical experience had shown—in short, batteries that release more energy over a longer period of time.

The idea began to take shape in earnest from 2003, but its origins go much further back.

After many years of innovation, we’re now ready to step up the pace even further. We are strengthening our profile, our communication and our marketing so we can tell you more about who we are and what we do.

WaveTech’s story is unique—and our technology and services are too!
