About Us
A Technology Company with a Core Focus on Battery Innovation

About Us
Developing the Next-Generation Battery-Enhancing Technologies.
A robust scientific foundation allows us to pioneer the development of battery-enhancing technologies, with a substantial impact on all aspects of batteries, from production, use, and maintenance to their eventual recycling and replacement.
Our focus is to combine our deep scientific expertise with hardware and software to remove the limitations of batteries. We are expanding our portfolio of groundbreaking technologies further than ever expected.
The WaveTech team comprises 65 people, from 14 nationalities, with offices in the U.S., Germany, Bulgaria, and Turkey.
History
A Desire to Increase Battery Quality, while Decreasing Costs
It all started with an idea in 1994 to increase battery quality while simultaneously decreasing their costs. WaveTech was founded in 2003 by Physicist Dr. Ove Torbjørn Aanensen and Dag Arild Valand in Stavanger, Norway, based on results from early experiments in battery testing and a scientific theory.

What Sets Us Apart
A Unique Technology Company
We believe three main aspects truly make us a unique technology company: Our deep scientific and in-house expertise in material science, engineering, production, and software. Our disruptive R&D pipeline continuously improves to provide greater benefits to batteries and the end-user. And the ability to install our technologies on existing battery storage systems and battery chemistries out in the field without the need to build or manufacture new systems.
