WaveTech Enters into Agreement with Mitratel to Optimize their Off-Grid Telecom Backup Energy Storage Systems with Crystal Control Technology®.

WaveTech GmbH, a subsidiary of WaveTech Group, Inc., and PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk. or known as Mitratel Indonesia, have entered into an agreement to test the application of WaveTech’s Crystal Control Technology (CCT) on their off-gird telecom backup energy storage systems that operate on a combination of lead batteries and solar energy. Both parties aim to enhance battery performance and longevity, reduce operational and capital expenditure, and minimize the carbon footprint resulting from lead battery usage in telecom backup energy storage systems.

This agreement marks WaveTech’s expansion into Indonesia – one of the largest countries in South East Asia with a potential of over 200.000 telecom sites nationwide.

The MOU includes field trials to monitor the improvements of treating lead batteries with Crystal Control Technology on Mitratel’s off-grid backup energy storage systems. Following the success, the aim is to scale up and expand to a larger number of sites with a commercial agreement. The target for Mitratel and WaveTech is to deploy this technology to the majority of their network.

The field trials will be conducted at on critical live sites operating off-grid in Indonesia. These sites are powered by a hybrid system that uses both solar energy and lead batteries, working together to provide a sustainable and reliable power source with increased longevity.
