WaveTech recently showcased its battery technology at the ELBC – Global Battery Innovation Conference, held at the MiCo Convention Center in Milan, Italy, from the 16th to 19th September 2024.
Led by Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Boris Monahov, the WaveTech team joined over 1,000 attendees, 120 exhibitors, and 50 speakers at the conference, globally recognized as the industry’s leading annual event for lead acid battery innovations.
WaveTech used this platform to showcase the chemistry agnostic capabilities of Crystal Control Technology (CCT), particularly in improving the performance of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries. Dr. Monahov presented the results in a session that gained interest from industry experts, with multiple attendees reaching out to the WaveTech team for further insights and discussions.
Insights into a Growing Market
The conference also offered insights into the rapidly expanding market for energy storage systems (ESS), which is projected to become a dominant sector in battery applications over the coming decade. Although lithium-ion batteries lead this space, there is an increasing potential for adopting lead-acid and other chemistries. The versatility of Crystal Control Technology positions WaveTech well to capitalize on this trend.
Strategic Engagement and Partnership Opportunities
Throughout the event, the WaveTech team held 12 meetings with potential partners and customers across various industries, including battery manufacturing, data centers, battery energy storage systems, and telecommunications. These discussions highlighted the interest generated by WaveTech’s approach to advancing battery technology.
Strengthening Industry Knowledge and Market Position
WaveTech’s participation at the ELBC provided critical insights into emerging and current market trends, and the latest research contributions. The conference served as a unique opportunity for WaveTech to enhance its understanding of the industry.
